Question 99' S70 T-5 | Looking for solutions to problems SMALL RADIATOR FLUID LEAK

My s-70 has about 184K on it. Over the past 6-7 months I have noticed a very small leak, as I have had to put coolant into the overflow. Its gotten worse where I have to fill it sometimes twice a day. Since it's cooler outside it doesn't need to be feed as much.
I had a buddy tighten up one of the hoses that seemed a little loose, but I am still having issues.

If the radiator is leaking replace it. Just not worth destroying the car over. If you're not sure where it's leaking, check under the timing belt cover to make sure it's not your water pump. If it's not that, have the rad pressure tested. If it's leaking, replace it with one from a good source, someplace that sells Volvo parts all the time. NOT A RAD FROM A SALVAGE YARD.

Absolutely. There is also a coolant smell that I have been getting in the cabin, sometimes there is a steam that comes through the vents, does that provide any more clues as to the root cause?

Likely the heater core.

Yeah. I was just doing some more research and several things lead me to believe this. Thanks for your information. Would you recommend a junk yard to save money? Or strictly new?

NEW. I don't think they cost that much.
