Default air pump holding water?

2 months ago the check eng light came on . . . P0410(if I remember right). I checked the valve and it worked. I did not hear the pump , (under batt box), first thing in the morning. About 3 weeks ago the light went out and I now hear the pump run for about a minute first thing in the morning. I read in some other posts that water is what usually fails these pumps.

Now the question. If infact it is water in the pump that was frozen until 3 weeks ago, is there a way to drain the water or put a drain in the pump?(with out ruining the pump of course)

Thanks

I read where somebody recommends drilling a couple very small holes in the bottom of the pump when you install one. I didn't do it myself though.
