Default Alarm transponder on keys broke... Help plz

The little cylinder that hangs on the key chain on my 98 S70 GLT has broken and the insides been lost...so now I can not start my car.I think this is some kind of transponder that disables the ignition. Is there any way to bypass or disable this????

THank you in advance for any help.

The 1998 S70 doesn't have a transponder.

Then you added something else?
If so then you would have to remove it and bypass.

The system was installed by the dealer at time of purchase. It is a Karr Security System. There is a cyinder shaped thing that hangs on keys that must be there to make ignition work. I spoke with Karr and they can not tell me how to disable until possibly next week......ugghhhh!

Thanks for any help

There must be a box or something under the dash.
I have never delt with a Karr system but it must have been a dealer installed aftermarket system.
But there has to be stuff under the dash that you would be able to discinnect and bypass.
