Thanks a bunch!!!!!!! Besides doing a full revision(dont know if thats the word, its the thing that costs $120 in the dealership, they check EVERYTHING in the car) what should i ask the person who is selling me the car? If the timing belt was replaced, what else?

And also, too bad that im getting almost nothing for my car, given its 51k miles which is NOTHING! but oh well :'(

Service records? Ok, one question thou, if i give you the VIN will it say if it been in an accident or what kind of repairs it had has done? Because it must if he took it to the volvo, but if the car has been salvaged(which i doubt) it will not say because i dont think we have that kind of technology for cars here :S

I don't have a subscription to Carfax but someone on here might and they will be able to run it for you.
I have no way to find out anything.

Ugh, i just called the Volvo and they said that the guy is saying that NEXT WEEK NOW!!!! omg, i think that he didnt expect for someone to buy his car right away, i think he was thinking that it was going to take a month to sell the car, and now he says that he's too busy with college and that he cant, i mean come on, he can go for 5 minutes and thats it....The volvo people are looking for another one S70 T5(1998, 1999 or 2000) or maybe an R and I will pay like 500 more for the R. One question how much HP does the R have?

Go to autotrader.com, look for the type of car you want to know about, find one with the VIN, open it and click on model info and it will tell you the horesepower.

A 98 V70 R is rated at 236.
My 97 850 R is 240.
In 99 they changed and I don't know right of the top of my head, but I would find out just like I said above.

Good luck on getting the car. Tell the guy you want the car by the end of the week or you are buying another one. From what you say there is not a huge demand for Volvo's in Panama and he is lucky to have a buyer waiting. Call his bluff and I bet you get the car soon.

Thanks Jim, and yeah, the demand is not that high here, and to find a buyer is hard. So I will call the volvo and tell them that i want the car by sunday.
