Default Body work

When I bought the car it had these dents on the drivers side. The guy said it was a hit and run at the home depot parking lot. I tried taking the door panel off and pushing the bigger dent out, bit it feels like the door is double walled or something. Also in the picture you can see a bunch of little dent all in a row. I'm going to repaint my car soon so I want to get rid of these dents. My question to you guys is, should I just bondo over them? Or is their a better way thats not too expensive.

i had a same problem with my s70. i tryed looking for parts on junkyards, but either they didnt have s70's or they just cost way too much. so my recomdation is to just bondo over it, thats wat i did. im pretty sure thats the most less expensive u can do.

the material used in the making the body of the volvo is more like a corrugated cardboard only its done thinner so that the body is more stiffer and safer during collision.

If you can find a door, replace it. It should not cost that much, many salvage yards pay like $250 to $500 for wrecked cars and will often go down on the price of a part. Bondo will sometimes crack, split, lift, etc. Avoid that if you can or make 100% sure it's done right or it will show in a couple of years.

Some repair shops are very good with working dents out with heat and applying body fillers.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm waiting on a few places to call me back about a new door. If I can't find a door I might end up using bondo. The autobody places want to charge an arm and a leg to take these dents out. I bought this suction cup thing from the autoparts store to see if it would pull them out and it didn't. If I do end up getting a new door is it hard to seat it in correctly? I don't want to leave any gaps between the door and the frame.

I think it will be pretty easy to find a door for that car. A lot of them should be headed to junk yards.

Yeah... Doors should be easy to find for that car. Biggest issue with door replacement: The seals take a set over time, and sometimes when replacing a door, you'll end up with wind leaks even when the door is perfectly aligned. If that happens, get a NEW seal- used ones will just have the same problem.
