Brake rotor replacement difficult?
on my 98 s70 I am told by a brake mechanic that replacing rotors & pads is a big job. says you need "special" tools. can anyone direct me to a step-by step video or instruction for this? do you know what special tools are required?
I think it is time to change your mechanic, he is crook. It is easy job with no special tools. Here are instructions:

Thank you blackbrick; The instructions you sent look very straight forward! One more question. My mechanic warned me from cheap rotors & pads, stuff made in China, etc. If I buy parts online, are there suppliers you guys with experience recommend, or ones you would warn me away from? Some offer slotted & drilled rotors, others regular. I am not looking for performance parts, but good long lasting parts that aren't going to warp, etc.
If you can find OEM Volvo that would be best (I think BREMBO is OEM).
I bought mine at Autozone not sure which brand, it was long time ago, maybe ZIMMERMAN.
I don' believe in drilled rotors.
