Okay guys I think I know what you will tell me but here it is, I am looking at a 98 S70GLT with 106K for about $6000 or a 04 S60R ( still a real R) with 90K for about $14000. What one do I chose? Keep in mind I am, a real gear head and LOVE the R but please be honest. Thanks for input.

 

Personally I like the looks of the s70 over the S60R, even if it's an R. Plus the mileage on the S is not too far off from the R for half the price and still have money for a few mods and make it yours! That's my opinion though! i would say, what do u prefer looks wise? and then go for there. Good Luck!

I LOVE the S70's my wife has a 99 and it is an excellent car, but the R is almost like an urban legend so I am torn.

 

Everyone has different taste, my take on it is this, that 98 S70GLT looks like a suped up Chevy Celebrity, sorry, but thats what I see when I look at the styling of that car. The 04' S60, mmmmmmm, the lines of that car are so much more sporty, and even...dare I say.....sexy???

The price that youposted for the S60 seems atad high for me, especially with the car having almost a 100k on it.

 

I had a 98 S70 and recently purchased a 06 S60R.
I absolutely love the car. I would never switch back. The lines, interior, comfort, performace and everything elseon theR are far far better then the S70. You see alot of 850's, S70's, etc on the roadbut when you see an R people that know what it is definately know youre driving anspecial car. This is my third Volvo and definately the best one yet.

I have an R so I guess I'm biased. I saw one mom with the R wagon with the six speed manual. I wish my mom had one when I was young.
