Default Cabin Filter and K&N question

Ok, I have an 98V70 and I bought a cabin filter and Hayes manual and they give a lousy description of where the filter is actually located and how to actually replace the thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone had good luck with the drop in K&N filters for this model?

Thanks.

K&N filters use oil. Supposedly oil isn't good for MAF cars. Which yours is. Now I used one on my 95 850 n/a, and I seemed to have no problems with it.

I also used it on my 99 s70 awd and seemed to have no problems with it. Well the s70 got a cone filter. 850 got a panel filter.

Only thing is you would have to clean the K&N while a stock replacement you wouldn't.

Alot of people use K&N and are fine Be Very light on the oil.
The pollen filter is under the Cowl cover on the Passenger side. You remove the 3 screws and lift the panel and slide the old filter out and New one in.
