Car surging while going up hill.
I have a 98' Volvo s70 T5 with 207k miles. Today on my way to work the car seemed like it was surging (throttle going up and down) while I was going up a hill. I was doing about 70mph with the cruise control on. It bums me out because I just ordered brand new slotted rotors and pads from ipd as well as some new spark plug wires. Any suggestions on what I should check? I hope I can keep my baby alive.
Update: Replaced the spark plug wires in my car with IPD performance plug wires. I was getting missfire codes before but after putting these new plugs on am I getting this constantly. Also for the first time I got a p0335 code which is related to the Crankshaft position sensor. What I don't understand is how changing my plug wires would make my problem worse. Also it seems like the car is throwing most of the misfire codes when i'm going up a hill or getting on the throttle a little more then normal. Any idea on what's going on here?
Is it missing all the time; even at idle? If yes, suspect you crossed two of the plug wires when you installed them.
If it only misfires under load, then you likely need crank position sensor, since you now have a code...

Actually when the car is idling it runs the best. Lol. Im going to order a new sensor. What's the best way to put it in? Any tricks that would help me out? Where is a good place to buy one? Thanks for your help!
