Default changing the oil

2000 S70 glt turbo, getting ready to change my oil for the first time, looking at some of the online dealers, it appears it is a cartage type filter, correct? also plan on using moble 1 high milage oil and not sure between 5w30 or 10w30 I live in southern ind, also do you have to drain oil out of the turbo?

Yes you do have the cartridge filter. No you do not have to drain oil from the turbo. I would use whatever weight the owners manual suggests. How many miles do you have on the motor? I would not use high milage oil.

If your car does NOT have synthetic oil in it, I would think hard before switching to it. If you have any oil seal leaks, they will likely get bad fast. Read my thread about changing the cam seals.

I would. Keep it changed every 5,000 or sooner.
