Default Code P0410

My check engine light came on a cpl days ago so i took it
to autozone and had them hook the obd up, pulled the code
p0410....which is a "secondary air supply fault" they say.
they gave me hints like 'bad circuit connection' 'faulty air pump'
'bad sensor' ...does anybody have any experiance with this
"secondary air supply"? and where do you think i should start?
Thanx guys

Default Thanx Blackbrick

That definitely helps me out man, a lot! The only thing is that
the link suggests that i replace the 'air pump',,,which costs
around $350. I definitely cant afford it right now. and i have
a 2000 mile trip planned in under two weeks. is this something
that will cause more expensive and permanent damage to my
baby?!?!?
thankyou!

Have you check air pump fuse?
I am not expert in any way but I think this problem affects only emissions not engine so I wouldn't worry for now. If emissions test is needed to register car then you will need to address this problem.

When the car is below 94 degrees start it up and listen for the pump to come on for 2 minutes or so.
If the pump runs the the vacuum valve may be bad. mine would not open with vacuum applied.
to test i just used the vacuum line that fed the solenoid that activates the airpump check valve.
Good luck

Default sweet,

Cool, I will do that tomorrow morning when it's not so warm out. so if
i open the hood where should I be listening at for the air pump? will
it be right there at the manifold? to be honest ive never dealt with
an air pump issue and didnt even realize that it had one! Thanx billions

It will sound like a household vacuum cleaner behind the passengers side headlight and near battery.

Also check at the front center of the engine compartment, there is a vacuum line that connects there that can cause this fault if it becomes disconnected.
