Digital Clock

Digital Clock
Hi Folks,
Have just joined and have a problem with the digital clock - when I start the car the time on the clock defaults to 0:00. I'm led to believe that the clock back-up battery may need replacing. Would appreciate any info from anyone with similar problems, particularly battery size.
Thanks

RE: Digital Clock
Greetings.
Before I start, please note that I'm an 850 driver and am not privy to other Volvos.
If no one else replies in a few days, see if your owner's manual has any info on it. If not, call/visit a local Volvo dealer and ask them for the location & correct type of battery.
Good luck,
JPN

RE: Digital Clock
Still haven't solved problem but have established that there is no back-up battery - the clock is run off the CPU in the instrument panel. Asked the dealer but he wasn't sure if the instrument panel was on the diagnostic software (it is!). I've managed to get a copy of the Vadis workshop manuals (the manuals all the Volvo dealers use) so now I need to source a cable and connector for the diagnostic socket in the car (I'm not paying the dealer for something that is more irritating than problematic). Any advice on where I can get a cable, can it be hooked up to a laptop or is there a special box needed?
