Default Dipstick broke :-(

Engine oil dipstick broke. My question is, where is the cheapest place to buy one? Also reading in multiple places that if you haven't replaced the tube you have to do that as well? Sounds odd.

The red handle mostly broke off, it'll be fun getting it out I'm sure.

Check part numbers on websites. I believe they are different, '99 and '00 is likely the same.

The tube design was changed so if you buy one you have to replace both the tube or the dispstick. Junk yard is a good alternative. Look at the tube and see if it's rusted out - thought could be a leak risk.

I'm pretty sure ALL of the tubes are aluminum so none should be rusted. If they are newer, they are a little larger in diameter near the top.
