Trans dipstick tube

Trans dipstick tube
Hi everybody,
How on God's green earth does one get apart the fitting where the automatic transmission dipstick tube fastens to the pan? I assume it's standard thread (Counter clockwise to remove). I hold the pan side with a large open end wrench and try to loosen the tube side with another open end and it won't budge. I've soaked it overnight with PB bolt loosener, still no luck.
I have to replace the kickdown cable and need to drop the pan.
Does any one know what metric sizes these two are and if /where box wrenches with a slot opening are available?
Any secrets or tricks to this one?
Thank you,
Mark

RE: Trans dipstick tube
Thanks Tech,
After looking at a few articles on the web and careful consideration, that's probably what I will do rather than risking damaging the tube or the pan. I want to get the starter off anyway. I was thinking of using this method to hold the crankshaft still while removing the crankshaft bolt and pulley for installing new rubber cam follower silencers. What do you think?
I was going to make a tool for Method 2.

Thanks again,
