Default ETS/service engine light update

original post had my ETS and service engine light on. Had the recall on the ETM done, but ETS light still on.Motor was really sluggish.
Update: Took the car (2000 S70 with 182,000 miles) to Volvo dealership. Found ECM-640A faulty signal, found B+ cable burnt at fusebox end. Replaced 3 wiring harnesses and battery cables ($780). Also found ECM-9150 throttle position TP sensor 1fault. Replaced throttle body and ETM reload (warranty). I had transmission flushed ($379).

Default RE: ETS/service engine light update

Hi there
I have 99 S70 AWD ( 220K (Km)) I had my ETS recall done about 1.5 years ago. but the ETS light start to come on since couple weeks ago. I think the engine run too rich, I can smell it.
Ihave used regular gas till 2 weeks ago, I switch to higher Octane as soon as the light start to come on and since then it had been reduced greatly, but I still have it here and there. I was going to clean the TB, but if it's under warranty I may take it to the dealer.
Do you have more info about these new ETS, how long they are under warranty?
Is there any way that I can check to see if the ETS position sensor working fine?

What I was told the recall on first and secondattempt isto clean cables and ETM/ECM P upgrade. Third time is the charm when replacement occurs. Warranty is for 10 years or 200,000 miles. Mine was done on 8/30/07, then on 10/22/07andit wasreplaced on 10/24/07.
