I purchased my S70 SE - non turbo a couple of months ago. It needs a new exhuaust, I was quoted $1800.00 from the dealer. Can this work be done at other places, for example Speedy Muffler, Midas Muffler? In Southwestern Ontario Canada, if that helps with finding a spot.

 

You could have a place like those you mentioned make you one for much much much less.

 

Have a local exhaust shop just build you a generic exahust. MUCH cheaper. I had a local shop build me a custom 3" stainless steel turbo back exhaust with magnaflow mufflers for $800. Most online companies that sell downpipes for the T5's charge $800+ and then another $600+ for the cat back. Local shop is always the way to go. Don't let them try and put oem volvo stuff back on it either... it's le expensive!
