Default Fuel pump prob....

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and I find it very imformative. I have a 99 s70 t5 and when i try to start the car it turns over but does not crank over. I took the fuel rod off and disconected the main fuel line, started the car and no gas came out. I believe it is the fuel pump. I took out one of the spark plugs, grounded it, started the car and got spark. I've done a headgasket job on this car already and pretty familer with this engine. The car has 224,000 miles on it. What I'm asking is maybe some guide on removing (dropping) the gas tank to get to the fuel pump.

Thanks.

well... you don't need to drop the tank to get to the pump. Actually, you don't on most cars, aside from American cars. There's an access panel in the trunk/ under the back seat. but I would check the fuse and relay first- the fuel pump son these cares rarely go bad.

I did get the fuel pump out of the trunk. I already checked the fuses and relays, perfect power. I did find a insert pump for $125 through FCP. Its on its way. Thanx for all the help everyone.
