Default Got my first Volvo and there's work to be done

Hi all,

I just got my 1999 S70 Turbo and it's a lot of fun to drive. I'm watching a lot of videos from RSPI and reading a lot on issues that will need work on. I'm gonna try to do most of them. Any pointers on these would be great

DIY projects
1)Dashboard light and shifter light is out (any ideas?)
- the dashboard lights don't work when the headlights are on
- shifter light doesn't come on either
- could be bad dimmer, but the connections look good

2)Heater core (RSPI video and a Swedespeed instruction should walk me through)
3)Coolant reservoir and coolant sensor replacement

There are videos for the shifter light and coolant bottle (coolant flush).

I'm reading on the forums and it sounds like a rheostat issue. Whacha think?
