headlight wipers just stopped
upon coming accross a dirty windshield, i just turned on the wipers to clean the windshield with the squirter & all. well the windshield became clean, but the headlight wipers (assuming that they are designed to operate when the windwhield fluid is activated) just stopped cold in the 12:00 position. both of them. tried to move them. nothing. tried to repeat the cycle. nothing. what gives???
Thats pretty much what happened to mine, so I just yanked them off and threw them away. I think thats the first upgrade I did to my Volvo, looks better without them anyways.
so you're saying that neither of the motors are working at all, and that both of them just crapped-out at the same time, the same way? doesn't sound right. what drives these motors? is there a sensor? what about a computer error?
i thought about this...just disconnecting the motors, taping the plugs up... what about the wiper fluid feeds?

You can leave the washer hoses attached.
The motors are well known to go bad when ever they want.
The first thing I did when I got my Yellow R was unplug them.

Yeah Tech, I sure did throw away. By the time I got done with them, there wasn't too much left of them. They made it personal with me, and I got really aggrivated. lol I didn't know people wanted them, or I may have been nicer to them, sorry.
so both motors are bad. what about replacement motors: cheap? easy to install/replace?
and if i were to just forget about the motors, what about just disconnecting them and taping the wires up?
