Default I love my Volvo S70!

I had a ASE certified mechanic friend of mine check out my 98 s70, and he said from the looks of the enigne it is a real tank...162K on it and nothing leaking all fluids look good. Tune up before I got the car they changed the dist. cap and the plugs and wires and also the injectors...and the air filter..they did a complete tune up....I only have a small emissions leak on check engine light. But overall he gave my car a good bill of health said it should last a long time if I take care of it and change the oil regularly and dont bang on it too much. It drives smooth no misfires..etc..Sometimes you get lucky and buy a good car, which seems to be what I did. Interior is in excellent shape leather is great no cracks etc...the radio works perfect etc...The only thing I need to find out about is the timing belt and when it was changed if at all. Other then that I am happy!!!!! It doesnt have a whole lot of get up and go but hell it drives good! Heat and AC work pefect! Thanks for providing support on these forums for people that might have issues..and people like me that like to talk about how much they love their volvo!

I believe the T-Belt schedule is 70,000, 140,000 then 210,000. If they did that good of a job with a tune up, I can't imagine they did not replace the timing belt. Usually you can see a milage marked on the belt cover. You can also pull the cover with 1 #12 bolt and look at the belt yourself. If it's old it will likely be discolored, if it has 22,000 on it, it should still look brand new. Congrats!
