Angry I need advice

Hello out there. Please help

I have a 99 s70 since March I have a new alternator, new battery, new throttle body, all my spark plugs replaced, and now a new speed sensor. My ABS light, emergency brake light, dead speedometer, and a flashing arrow come on at different times. So I got the speed sensor. My mechanic said he got the lights off and speedometer was working after the speed sensor was replaced. 5 minutes after driving it from the shop everything came back on and had trouble getting the car to go after coming to a complete stop.

If anyone has any ideas on what the problem could be, please help.

Did the ABS light come back on? If so, I would get that fixed.

Also, look under the hood real good for anything loose. Wires or vacuum lines.

I have heard of people putting a wedge to trick their ABS but I'm wondering if that works for everyone?

Look around, theres a tutorial on how to fix the module yourself or you can talk to one of the forum members here and in MVF that fixes them starting at $60.00 or so

Took the car back to the shop and he said he worked on the harness and that fixed the speedometer and turned ABS and emergency brake light off. Also got the flashing arrow off. Drove it for a day and all lights are back on and no speedometer.

Pictures? Price? Please be aware that since I will have to invest $79 and an hour of my time to repair it I will only offer you a lowball figure.

But really, you have THE CLASSIC symptoms of ABS Module failure. They sometimes throw curve ***** but I don't think so this time, they even fool mechanics w/o a lot of Volvo experience.

Don't lose heart. Follow the Matthew's link.

I will get some pictures for you. It has only minor body damage, I just have not had the money to fix it. I was thinking around $1000.00

You can fix the ABS module yourself; I just did the one on my S70 a few days ago; no more ABS/TRACs light.

Total cost for me $5.25 for an E5 Torx socket (can't believe i didn't have one). Other than that you'll need basic hand tools and soldering gun.

Lee did a good write-up on Matthew's site if you're interested.

My car needs an ABS module and a neutral transmission switch. The salvage yard has the ABS module for $179.00, can't find the other. Does anyone know if this is a fair price or can it be found cheaper? I have someone looking to buy my car, just need a round about price for repairs.

Do a search here. I believe it's cheaper to get one rebuilt.
