i need to slow down...
well i have a new story.. if anyones fimiliar with the Elgin area of illinois. rt 20 near pingree grove, kinda winds pretty good heading east/west. i was heading east came up over a hill and down into about a 80 degree turn, at about 70ish... slowed to arround 60, it got loose, kicked into the turn, countersteered guided myself through almost all of it to bounce off the guardrail then slide sideways about another 20 yards uphill to end up going ohh god.... to avoid a ticket i just whipped it in reverse saw little parts everywhere on the ground. got back in my lane, and went to the parking lot of a business, got out expecting to see nothing but a twisted metal ***-end of my new car. just to find a skuffed up bumper, for hitting a guardrail at 45 plus mph i thought it would have messed it up a little worse. guess the parts on the ground were the paint exploding off the bumper or the interior of the bumper, no glass broken, no signals or anything. drives straight and good. anyways, anyone have a gloss black rear bumper for a 98 s70 glt?

I guess you didn't learn anything from crashing your first car into a tree.
I'm a volunteer for the Fire Protection District that services Pingree Grove. In the five years that I have worked that area I've seen at least three fatalities per year due to someone, usually a teenager like you, using Routes 20, 47 or 72 as their personal race track.
Next time you drive through that area why don't you slow down and look at the crosses on the sides of the road. Though they don't even represent 1% of the people hurt or killed on those roads, it will give you an indication of what happens when people are careless.
Driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and crashing your car doesn't make you cool. It makes you a bad driver. You're lucky you didn't kill yourself or someone else. It's been my experience that when someone goes from 60mph to 0mph into a ditch, even with a seat belt on, it usually results in a snapped neck or scrambled brain.
