Hey there, not much discussion on this but it's worth it. We all know the headlight internal wiring harness disintegrates and FCP has replacement harnesses for about $30. Sure beats buying new or used units.
I resilvered the reflectors with high quality aircraft model paint (real silver) and an airbrush. That's when I noticed the hole below the lowbeam socket. City Lights!
Then I ordered the harness from FCP and 2 W5W bulbs and had the entire setup done in 1 hour. You will have to remove the additional US-spec pigtail, it only has three wires. The stock wiring harness has 4 wires for the additional bulb.
No more shorts, plus City Lights. It's a great look.

tie the fishing line to the original indicator spade type connector and pull the line through at the same time as removing the old cable. do this with both indicator wires. Saves you the difficulty of trying to feed the line through by itself.
