New tothe forum, havequestion if anyone has had same problem>

Key out, door chime ding when door is open like key still in ignition and when door closes it stops but remote will not work. It still thinks key is in ignition. Any help would be appreciated. I beleive the key cylinder is bad.

 

I would check the electrical part of the ignition switch first.

 

had that taken care of today, the key does feels sloppy in the switch. Last Night I got it to stop dinging one time and the remote worked. Then I tried the key again and now its back to dinging when key is out. My volvo guy thought the same and changed the electrical part out today.

 

I have the same problem… Did changing out the electrical part fix your problem or did you need to change out the whole key lock assembly?
