Default Instrument Cluster Failure

After changing the battery in my 1998 S70 T5, my odometer (digital) went blank. The RPM and speedometer also stopped working,
I had read that this issue could sometimes be resolved by:
1. Disconnecting the neg terminal of batter
2. Turning the ignition to discharge the electrical system
3. Re-attaching the battery after 30 seconds.
Unfortunately, this did not work.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You probably have a blown fuse. Check them all.

You must have shorted something out. You will have to take the cluster out, take the back off and inside there is a fuse which is most likely burned. Its a special fuse though that you will more than likely have to get from a dealer but maybe you can find one somewhere else. Good luck

I have had these problems too. I took the dashboard instrument cluster apart and did not see any fuse.
