Default Low Coolant Light wont go off

Hello to all and thank you for this Volvo forum!
Just last evening, my son and I replaced the belt in my Volvo S70-1999 Turbo. We moved the coolant reservoir and the brake fluid reservoir for easy access to the belt. No hoses of any kind were unhooked. We placed the reservoirs back in there spot.
This morning after starting the car the low coolant light lit up in the dashboard. I have verified that there are no leaks and that the sensor was plugged back into the bottom of the coolant reservoir. Light still on. I then unplugged the sensor from the coolant reservoir and quess what?, light is still on. The level is perfectly normal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Plug it back in and drive a few days. Old cars do strange things. It might go out on it's own. If not, unplug it again and look at the connector and make sure it's not damaged in any way, like frayed wire or wire backing out of the plug, etc.

BTW, what belt did you replace that made you move the brake reservoir?

The sensor may be going bad. just unplugging it did not turn the light off in 1999 S70. I had to jump the wires. Light out!
