2000 s70, glt se, when I push down the brake pedal, it goes past the spot it usually applys the brakes and applies them almost at the end of the pedal travel, bad master cylinder? When the pedal passes its usual spot I can feel slight resistance, thens it gone. no codes or warning lights

 

First check the brake fluid level and see if it is low. I suspect either a leak in the brake system, a bad master cylinder, or possibly a bad power brake booster, but am leaning toward a bad seal in the master cylinder.
