Default missing piece to cam cover?

Got the head back from the machine shop and there's a hole with to threaded holes on either side of it to the right of the filler neck (looking in at the firewall) I would get it back from the machine shop, but there's a language barrier that prevents me from doing that. I made a plate with holes and tightened it down to slow the leak, but it hasn't stopped it. Could someone pop the hood on their car and tell me what it is I need to buy to fix that? I'd really appreciate it, because other than than, I'm pretty confident the car is right on the money.
Thanks in advance
Paulie

Here's that pic of the missing item. As you can see, I put a plate over it and screwed it down so I could start the car and let it warm up, but I can't drive it, it would leak too bad under high rpms.

Are you sure it is leaking there?
As seen in pic below I don't see anything that can go there but if I have one apart on Monday I will look.

Still no word on what could go there Tech? it seems to be a nice slow leak now, but I'm still at a loss. I'll tear it down tomorrow after work and take pics of what's under the cap.

That hole stays there, but no oil should be coming out of it. My son in law kept wondering what it was there for too when we did the head on my 97. If there is oil coming out of it, you probably didn't get the cam sealant on good enough. I'm testing my memory here, but fairly sure I am right.

ok, I'm gonna clean it up again and take a look. On the down side, I have bigger fish to fry. With that new head and fresh vacuum lines the motor is a little too powerful. I went to pass someone in 2nd gear two days ago and ripped the clutch right out of the daggone thing. No clutch above 3500 for me :-(
I've done so much to this car though that after I replace the clutch, I can't get rid of it for another 200k - lol
