Question missing important unknown piece!

Okay, this piece is a square shape and it belongs on the underside of the transmission. I would've thought it to be where a drain plug would go. Except, it is about 2 square inches, therefore is more like a cap than a plug! Plus, supposedly this trans was designed not to have the fluid changed... Ever? Still, with this gone trans fluid just pours right out.

Does anyone know what its called and where I can get a replacement? Please!

Sincerely,
Brandon

Brandon, I have no idea what part you are talking about. Maybe you should post a picture. However, the dealer should have any part you need.

Also, please do NOT believe the rumor about the transmissions not needing service/fluid changes. That has cost many, many people their transmissions. The manual calls for an "inspection" every 10,000 miles or so. During this inspection the service techs will check the fluid. When the fluid shows signs of breakdown (burnt, contamination, etc.) they service it, ie replace the fluid. So, to be on the safe side, I would suggest replacing the transmission fluid at least every 50,000 miles, unless the fluid starts changing colors, then it should be done more often. I think I'm going to do mine every 25,000 (drain and refill x3) .
