Default New Motor?

Ok guys I am new on this forum and I have some questions. Got my 98 S70 GLT a few years back. was heading home for x-mas when my timming belt busted and shoved my valves into my pistons(replace your belts and tensioners on time). so I need options.
and places to shop. I can due most the work myself. can I get by with just a head and valves ? or should I just get a used motor dosent seem to cost that much more...?

any one have a motor for cheap... need help

I would try to get another motor. Maybe you can get blessed and find a wrecked car somewhere.

Please tell the visitors here:
1. How many miles you had on the belt?
2. How many miles were on the car?
3. When was the last belt change?
4. If the tensioner and rollers were changed at the last belt change?

Thanks.

I bought the car with 136000 miles on it. Im not sure if anyone ever changed the belt so.
1.Unknown at least 30000
2. 170000
3. unknown
4. unknown. The belt looked like it was in pretty good shape. It broke because the tensioner went out.
