Hi, Why am I here?

I am a Newbie, and I want advice. I have a 1998 S70 T5, 5-Speed.

1) My remote (keyless entry) will only (sometimes) work if I am on the front drivers side of the car. It was working properly until last week. I changed the battery in the remote but it did not improve the situation. I assume the receiver is on the driver's side. How do I get the knee panel out from under the dash to see what is up there? Am I looking at a poor antenna for the remote or is it possibly something else?

2) Guess What? Somebody said that a roof without a sunroof will never leak. I have the sunroof kind. What should I look at to find the leak?

1. The remote might be on its way out.If you want to remove the knee bolster there is 13mm nuts that hold it on after you remove the lower dash panel which is only held on with one t-25 screw.

2.If it is leaking inside the car the first thing to look for is clogged sunroof drains.
You can check them buy opening the sunroof and dumping some water between the body and the outside of the sunroof cables.Also make sure it isn't leaking in by the glass.
