Default Noisy Front End

So about 2 months ago, I completely rebuilt the front suspension (struts, mounts, all hardware, tie rod ends, sway bars, control arms, bearings, CV Axles, EVERYTHING) and now i'm getting some noise from the front right side. Kinda like a rattling noise anytime the road is not smooth, almost like the strut went bad again. I know the dash mounting tabs are bad and the noise is not from those being broken, definitely in the suspension.

Any ideas on where to start the search for the rattling over bumps?

Can you hear it at all speeds or just slow speeds.

All speeds. Problem is I replaced so many parts, I dont know where to start! Also noticed that now there is a grinding noise when i turn wheels either right or left at low speeds, for example maneuvering a parking lot or in and out of driveway, also a "clunk" when car is put into reverse. Starting to sound like a combination of things.... All was fine for the first two months.

My guess is that your steering fluid is low.

Also, you can try replacing your tranny torque mount to see if that helps your hard shifting. Has the tranny been serviced?

Fluid is good, not a whining noise but a grinding like possibly in the ball joints somewhere. Tranny was serviced at same time front end was rebuilt. The clunk when put in reverse could be the new CV's?.?.? I remember the tranny fluid that came out was very bubbly almost like it had water in it.

I guess I have two seperate issues at hand, the rattling in front end over bumps and the grinding noise. Just gotta get under there and check it out....

Sound like a bunch of things. Clunk could be axle. I got that now but cant seem to find a axle in my area. I got one from fcp coming. I'll let ya konw if that fixes it. It could also be the motor mount on top. Check that out.

The best thing to do is jack the car up, put a jack stand under it and move the wheel around and see if anything has any play in it. Did any of the work you had done have a warranty.

CV's were replaced along with everything else. Got them from fcp. Top motor mount is new. Havent had time to jack it up and check it all out. Next weekend I hope to get to it. All work was done by me and a buddy. It's the grinding noise when i turn wheels that bothers me most. Funny thing is that none of this started until i took car in for alignment.

Replaced those as part of the job. I'm thinking its a CV axle. I'm hoping to get it up on jack stands this weekend and check it out.

Any way to visually tell if spring seats and strut mounts are bad w/o having it up on jackstands? I'm game to double check everything but as easily as possible lol

did you replace the spring seats that the main common issue with noise or the right side engine mount. as for the clunk when you put in reverse may be the axle outter spline causing the noise a easy fix is put teflon paste, put it on the axle on the hub sides and not the trans side.

Replaced everything but the wheels and tires lol. All the bushings were shot, figured i'd do it once and not have to mess with it again.

What about your engine mounts? If those are worn then your engines gonna bounce when putting it in reverse.

I would double check all your torques, especially the easy to reach ones first. Hopefully it's a simple fix.
