Default Oil Cooler Hose Leak?

Greetings Everyone,

I have a small oil leak at the fitting just below the upper radiator hose. I've circled it on the picture, and I think it is a oil cooler line. Is it possible that it just needs tightening? If so, how would you go about it. One other question, I just had the head gasket replaced, is this a fitting that the shop would have disconnected during the replacement of the head gasket? The reason I ask is that if I knew that it had been recently removed, then that might lean me more towards it needing tightening rather than replacement. Thanks as always for you guys help!

Sorry no pic there.
But the oil cooler lines have metal clips that hold them in.
Maybe a seal is going bad.
If you could get the pic to post I would be able to tell you better.

If you can't get the pic to post let me know I will give you my e-mail address and I will post it for you.

Thought the pic uploaded, but it was 20 kb too big. Resized and reposted.

Default RE: More Questions...

Thanks, Tech for having a look. This information, as information often does, leads to more questions... Are the seals replaceable, or must I replace the entire hose? Does it take a special tool to remove the clip? It appears that the clip is the thing holding the fitting together, is that right? Is this a job that an average "at home" mechanic can do, or is this one for the Vovlo shop?

They can be replaced.
There is 2 o-rings and one clear thicker seal.
I use a pair of snap ring pliers that open when you compress the handles. That will open the clip and allow you to remove the line.

It should be like a 10 to 15 minute job.
