Default Oil leak on the head of the engine

Hi
I purchased my volvo before about two weeks ago and notices oil leak and there was oil on the top of the engine so i figured out maybe the cap.
Anyway i'm not sure where is the leaking from.
I changed the PCV and it was clogged , i opened the read camshaft seal and it was few oil so i changed it, and changed the cap gasket
After doing that i cleaned the top of the engine and start the car, i saw oil leaking from the bolts near the spark plugs, so i checked the torque and noticed that the previous owner tried to do some fixes and he broke some threads on the top of the engine about 3 bolts was have broken threads.
so my question now is if i wanna fix the thread using the heli coil should i remove the head of the engine or do it in it's place.
thanks

Depends on what kind of access you have to the stripped out hole and how good you are at installing heli-coils. If you do it with out removing the stripped out part from the engine, make sure you're careful not to get any metal chips in the engine...
