I was just barely down the street from my house when the oil light came on. Since I changed my oil not too long ago, I thought it was more than peculiar. So, I uturned and went back home.

I popped the hood, and oil was EVERYWHERE on the front passenger side corner. It even was out on the front headlight! There was definitely an oil trail leading back to my house.

So, I know I'm very delinquent in my PCV replacement. Is this now biting my big time in the butt? Did a hose or something come off, or did some seal rupture, etc? I thought seals would just leak more and more, so I'm wondering what would have yielded such a mess and how much it'll be to remedy it.

 

OK, the dust has settled, ie the oil has dripped down enough. It looks like a radiator hose came off. bad clamp job, I guess.

Oh well, at least it's not more than just a mess and some new oil ...
