Unhappy Oops Oil leak loss of power

I slid through a dip at 30 on ice it was a deep one. Then the road humped up real high then dropped back to the normal height and wham I came down real hard. The engine started leaking oil at about the turbo charger exhaust area and the engine lost power bad. It acts like Ford's LOS mode to protect the engine. Not making any noise and the oil did not leak all out. I had 4 quarts when I got home.

Any place I should look when the snow clears? I hit so hard I thought I should have bent the body but nope.

Sounds like you almost blew the air bags. Eeekkk! If you were down 2 quarts, oil is leaking from somewhere. Maybe only under load. You'll have to check for codes, document them, clear them, wipe the motor down, fill the oil back up and take it for a spin. When you get done, put it on ramps or something so you can get under there to look for the leak. If you can't find the leak you may need someone to tap the gas for you to find the leak.

I can't raise it where I am at. I am a Technical Mercenary go any where fix anything type. The problem is I live in one hotel after another so I can't raise it. I was shocked the bags did not fire. The impact was so hard the lower refrig line unbent a factory bend in the piping. NO big deal on that I have a freon license and can evacuate, replace and refill for next to nothing.

It left a trail of oil all the way home. About 8 miles.

So it does have a visable fluid leak. I guess you can stop by a store and pick up a set of ramps or take it to a oil change shop and ask them to find the leak for you. If you are on the road you may have to find an indy shop ro take it to the nearest stealer. If it's turbo, stop every mile or two to add oil.

The shop here in Denver is Volvo Specialist Service they are very good. Just need the money that is coming to take it in. So it will be okay soon. If I was in Albuquerque it would already be fixed, Independent Volvo Service there takes good care of me.

Another option is to drive 2 wheels up on a curb and see if you can get under there and find the leak that way. Sounds like you tore a oil line loose.
