Hi All,

I am in the process of replacing my frayed original throttle control cable and thought to also replace the throttle control arm (3507883) at the same time -- only to learn that it's discontinued.

What do we do if this part fails? Do we have to replace the whole throttle body with a different one? It seems odd that Volvo doesn't make this part anymore and there are no other sources.

I've never worn one out, but you're right, that is a little suspicious. You wouldn't expect that to last forever.

I don't believe there is any alternative throttle body. I wouldn't think so.
