I have a 98 S70 and want to install an aftermarket player for cheap. What do I need to have to install a cd player on my own?

 

if you don't feel like spending the extra $15 for the wire harness. then all you really need is some electrical tape i suppose.

 

Ok so if i want to install a DIN 1 head unit all i need is a metra pocket and a wiring kit?

 

ya pretty much. i put a pioneer in and left the space empty underneath. for me its not really a problem to have the gap as it doesn't look bad at all. although the rear door speakers dont work ( i think ) haven't been arsed to check them. i will once i put my new 1200watt amp and 2x12 box in. i have been working on the mechanics of the car before the fancy sound stuff.
