Default radio code

After disconnecting my battery to replace the fuel pump, I reconnected it and the "code" to reset the radio came up. I punched in the correct code (verified by the dealer), and "off" came up, at which point I was advised to leave the key on in the I position for 3 hours, at which time the word "code" would reappear on the radio. After leaving it as instructed, it has come up with "code e". Any ideas? Radio had worked fine before disconnecting the battery. How can I correct this problem? Thanks!

Default re-verify code with dealer

When I replaced the battery in one of my S70s I had the same problem. The salesman who wrote the radio code on the card in the owners documentation package must have been dislexic as two of the numbers were transposed. The dealer provided me with the correct code and it worked just fine....
