yeah recently my car sat a little to long so the battery died and now i need to put the code back into the stereo but the problem is i have no code do i hve to go to a dealer to get the code or is located on the stereo somewhere? any help is appreciated

 

When I had to find my radio code, the delearship gave it to me.... probably the delearship that the car was purchased from has it(that was the case for my car), I guess you just give them your VIN#... they didnt charge me either..

 

I just called my dealership up and they gave it to me without a VIN. I just gave them my name. They knew what car. No charge.

ok thnks i figured thats what i had to do but wasnt entirely sure my only problem now is i dont really know where the car originally came from i bought it from a friend which i dont see anymore so im not sure how ill be able to find out where it came from

 

Look for an old dealer repair receipt. My dealer prints the 4 number code on the work order so the mechanic has the number handy after repair. If not, get your vin number on the front drivers-side window and ask a dealer.
