Default Rear Passenger Window won't go up

Yesterday afternoon, I cracked my rear windows while I was playing rugby to keep the car (98 S70 GLT) from turning into an oven. When I attempted to get the window back up, it wouldn't move at all. First I thought maybe the switch was the culprit, but replacing it with the switch from the rear-driver's side didn't solve the problem. Then I decided maybe it's the motor, so I attempted to swap the motors between the rear passenger and drivers side, but ran into some problems there. Mainly, part of the component broke. So before I go and do anything else, I figured I'd stop in here to see if anyone had a solution. At this point, I'd be happy to just get the damn window up and then remove the leads so I won't be tempted to put it down again.

Maybe try tapping on the motor with a small hammer while holding the switch in the up position.

Sometimes that will work.

Is there any manual way of raising the window?

No unless you totally remove the window motor.

Well I'm more than halfway there (removing the motor) what would I have to do?

Once the motor all the way off you should be able to move the window manually up.
Then you will need to support it up.

Well this afternoon I was able to push the window up, then stuck the motor back inside the black-plastic piece (crank?) and screwed the metal housing on to lock the window in place. Hopefully that'll hold and since it's disconnected, I won't have to worry about it going back down.

However, now I've got a wonderful new problem. I can't open the rear driver's side door. It won't unlock.

Yes big problem. When that happens you usually have to destroy the door panel to get it off.

Goot luck. Maybe use the other rear door to judge.
Leave the door panel off the other one and see if that helps.

Wasn't too difficult actually. I just hope nobody in the back ever wants their windows down, because that ain't happening till I can afford to have an actual mechanic replace that junk.
