Removing Blades from Cooling Fan

Removing Blades from Cooling Fan
Hello,
New guy here.
I'm working on my 78 MGB into which I've swapped a Chevy 3.4 V6 with fuel injection. Runs great and the stock cooling system is adequate, but not as good as I'd like. So I picked up the electric cooling fan and shroud from a 98 S70 that I'm going to install.
All is going well, fits great, pulls LOTS more air than my two small pusher fans did originally.
So before I put it all back together, I'm going to disassemble and clean things up.
My question is: How do I remove the fan blades from the motor? There appears to be a nut on the back of the fan, but I'm hesitant to try and jam the shaft and spin things backwards to un-thread it.
What holds the fan to the shaft?
Thanks,
Doug
