Default Replacing Brake Pads

Hello Everyone- I am a newbie to the forum and still finding my way around. Any "HOW TO" thread about replacing brake pads (Front and Rear) on a 2000 S70? I tried browsing all 20 pages but always get side tracked with other interesting posts. I did not find any step by step instructions.

Not really but it is pretty easy to do.
Front Remove the spring on the outside of hte caliper.
Loosen the 2 7mm Allen Screws compress the caliper a little slide off and replace pads after pushing the caliper back all the way.

The rears use a punch and push the pin out then slide the spring out as well then slide the pad out and use a pair of channel locks to compress the piston then insert new pads.

Default RE: Replacing Brake Pads

The rear brakes were pretty straight forward. The front ones have the retaining spring that was a big pain. In fact, I am off to the dealership first thing tomorrow and purchase a replacement since one of them snapped into two. I like your tip regarding using channel locks to compress the caliper. Tnx a lot, Tech.
