Default Rip s70

Well, Thursday my S70 finally met it's demise. I was driving home when the cooling system warning light came on in the dash. I was so used to warning lights of all sorts on in the dash, that I ignored it as I usually did... the last time I had this particular light, it was a temp sensor. Bad idea to ignore it though - this time, it wasn't nothing. Net result, one cooked engine, which on a 13 year old car with 220,000 miles, means the end of the line.

Wanted to thank those that have shared their knowledge here with me over the past few years, very helpful.

Best to all the Volvoites,
Barry

Hi there - I am making a clean break ;-) ...certain parts would be of value to the right buyer, but I don't have the time for all that I am afraid - work is on me like a cheap suit right now.

The car did have its aggravations, but it served me well for 10 years, and would have had a few more in her if I had acted immediately. All in all 13 years/220k isn't a bad run :-).

So for those whose porche-designed inline-5's are still pumping - pay attention to those dash lights! ;-)
