i would do a stage zero. i.e. filters, plugs, oil, tranny fluid, ect. and get it running in tip top shape, then drive her nice for awhile and see if it doesnt help.

Default Thanx elcs70

Ive done about half of my 'regular new car tuneup' since ive owned
it, (oil..cleaned spark plugs..P.S. fluid..) Ive yet to change the
others seeing as $$$'s been kinda tight lately. but I'l do it as soon
as i can. It actually had a huge power steering fluid leak when i
aquired it... 1.5 cans of Lucas' P.S. fluid leak sealer later, No leak at
all!!! It also had a pretty decent head gasket leak. I did some research
on it and decided that I didnt want to tackle the whole head gasket
replacement thing right now. so I went to autozone and bought a
a minimicro molecule head gasket rebuilder/sealer. 'drain coolant
system...flush...refill with sealer...idle for 25 minutes...drain...let
car sit for 12 hrs...flush...refill with antifreeze...good to go.
It worked beautifully!!! obviously it's just a temporary thing but
i couldnt believe how good it worked!

I believe that S70 should get around 22 in the city and 28 on the highway. How are you checking gas milage? Do you have a trip computer in the car?

Also, I will check the rpms on my S70 GLT. It should run the same. I think they are running about what you stated.
