I have removed the old starter and went to transfer the rear bracket and noticed that the new starter is about 1/2 " shorter than the orginal. The rear bracket will not be long enough to attach to the block. What to do? The starter is a Beck/Arnley referb and is the correct part according to the #'s. Any advice would be helpful!!

 

Sitck some washers on or another nut or 2 before installing the bracket.
