Default s70 power steering rack leak

Ok, so I ahve aleak form ym power steering rack. Whne I took it to the shop they said they dont repair them, you have to get and new one, which would be about $800 installed. So my question is can it be repaired? or should I simply get a new power steering rack?

Usually places only replace them.
They leave the rebuilding them to the big companys that sell them.

You need to replace it. Unfortunately, the leak will only get worse and worse until it causes more damage. If you want a really good price for replacement, i did mine at 98,000 miles, go to www.powersteeringpros.com They are located in San Diego CA...best price anywhere and i searched for about a week online. Mine cost $400. And i had a local mechanic i trust install it for 100 bucks.

Good luck...
