Default S70 Steering

Hi - I have a 1999 S70 which recently had a steering rack replacement. When it first came back from this repair the steering was very tight. But then a leak was discovered due to the wrong type of hydraulic hoses being used. After this was remedied the steering appears to be much looser. Is it possible that the rack was somehow damaged to do the loss of fluid during that time>?

Thank you!

When you say looser, does that mean the car drifts? If not, maybe it's fine.

The hydraulic leak probably reduced the amount of power assist, making the steering tighter than it should have been. I know of no way that the power steering would become stronger than stock... Your steering was probably too tight before the pressure leak was fixed. Unless, like rspi said, your car is wandering... then there's a problem.

How do you know which steering rack to order? There are 2 of them available out there, Sweden made (FC1) and Belgium made (FC2)?!
