S70 Stuttering into 2nd - Odom/Spedo going in/out
My aging dad likes projects and bought this 2000 S70 (109k). He was told that it had a shifting problem due to a fuel filter needing replacement. After taking to several places I was told they were pulling codes that indicated the tranny needed to be replaced.
The codes are as follows - I've attached the print out.
ABS - 0010/ABS 0021/ ABS 0031/ABS 0041
CCM-414
ECM-530D Tramsission controm moduel faulty.
TCM-002F Lock-up function slupper or not engaged.
Next to each of these it says "DTC is found active or no fault found.
In the time I've had it the car sometimes comes out of its daze and works fine (30% of the time). I've been reading on different fourms that it maybe the ABS control panel located under the master cyl.
But, the ABS light doesn't come on or stay on. It flashes very quickly when the car starts, turns off before the other lights do.
The only remaining lights is the service engine light and the blinking "oh crap" arrow.
Is is worth replacing the tranny or should I start looking at other problems first?
Its the appearance and quick disappearance of the ABS light that has me puzzled. Other then this the Volvo has no problems. And I've spent about $700 in replacing various broken parts on the inside. Shes quite a beauty.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I work in HR so if I can return the favor please send me a pm!

The abs issue sounds like the control panel failing.
