S70 Turbo Need to Know If this Will Fit.t
OK I have a 1998 S70 Glt. Has 131k miles and recently started smoking real bad. I know its the turbo and it need to be replaced. So I found a Volvo TD0411L -15C off a 1998 850. I wanna know if this will fit my car. I dont want go used but im on a tight tight tight budget and need this car to run for inspection. Thanks in advanced and any suggestions are openly welcome.

To better describe it. When going over 2500 rpms and drving normal and then coming below 2500 rpms a cloud of smoke will come out of the exhaust. It is also leaking and burning a good amount of oil. Some smoke will also come out during idle but not as much when I go over 2500 rpms.

What is the vent box. Because I am taking it to my mechanic on Monday and I dont want him fixing things that dont need to be fixed. Like I read in one of your other theards It could just be a clogged line. So I dont want to spend thousands to find out its a simple fix. I wish i had a volvo mechanic around here.

Ok so I took the car in. He found the leak it was coming from my trans fluid line and spraying all over the engine. Then he said he check the pcv system and it was fine. But he said it still leaks oil out of the oil cap. He said he opened the cap and it let a hiss meaning there is a good amount of pressure being built up and pushing the oil out of the cap. Do you know what could be causing this?

It's the PCV system. Oil breather, vent box, whatever you want to call it. The kit is available reasonably at FCP Groton for about $125. It's a big job for a DIY er. Not hard, just tedious. 4 hours.
A dealer will charge you $350 for the hardware and $450 for labor I bet.
If it has that much pressure you have a clog or two somewhere in that system. Your current mechanic can't know the status of the vent system without checking for clogs. The symptoms are all there. Get another mechanic.
